Alex joined the Cochran/PCVA team in 2020, diving headfirst into some of the firm’s most challenging cases involving civil rights violations, insurance bad faith, dangerous products, and catastrophic injuries in Tacoma, WA. Driven by the desire to help injured individuals navigate a complicated and merciless legal system—which all too often is abused by powerful and well-funded organizations and corporations to avoid accountability for the harms they cause—he knows that effective advocacy in the courtroom must be accompanied by professional and compassionate client service. Some of the practice areas he handles in Tacoma and throughout Washington are:
- Car accidents
- Catastrophic injuries
- Child sexual abuse cases
- Medical malpractice claims
- Wrongful death cases
- Product liability cases
- And more.
Alex graduated from the Duke University School of Law after earning his B.A at the University of Washington. He clerked at the Washington State Court of Appeals Division One for the Honorable Stephen J. Dwyer for two years before joining the team.
While he is most at home in the courtroom, Alex also dedicates himself to advocating for justice for victims on a broader scale by working with legislators and testifying in support of legislation that will help keep Washingtonians safer and hold powerful interests to account for their misdeeds. He also serves on the Board for the Legal Foundation of Washington’s Campaign for Equal Justice, which helps ensure funding for critical legal services for Washingtonians unable to afford legal help.
Outside the office, Alex can be found exploring local restaurants, playing overly complicated board games, or having adventures with his wife, daughter, and their dog Wolfie at one of Washington’s many hiking trails and parks.
